Your Kingdom Come

How often do you look around the world and think “things just shouldn’t be this way”? How often do you feel that way when you look at your own life? We all have moments where we desperately want to see things change. What if it can? What if the world and our lives can actually look different? What if we can see change come in ways that we couldn’t even imagine? As we continue our “Teach Us to Pray” series, we look at the famous prayer where Jesus tells us to pray for God’s kingdom to come. Do we understand the power of that prayer? Do we know what it could unlock in our lives and in our world? Join us as we continue to learn from the Master what it means to pray, and what difference these prayers can make in our lives.

From Series: "Teach Us to Pray"

Do you struggle with knowing how to pray, or wonder if God really hears your prayers? Many of us long to have a deeper prayer life -- and draw closer to God -- but we aren't sure how to grow in this spiritual discipline. The disciples asked Jesus directly, “Lord, teach us to pray." Jesus taught them a simple, powerful way to talk with God – we know it as the Lord’s Prayer. Most of us know that prayer by heart, but like the disciples, we often have misconceptions and fears about prayer. In the midst of our questions, God invites us to bring everything to him in prayer. God wants to be in a deep, close relationship with you, grow you as a disciple, and empower you to make disciples. The same is true for Christ The Rock as a community of believers -- and if we are really going to make that happen, we need to be a church that prioritizes prayer. We can’t do it in our own strength.
