Who do you picture when you think of people who changed the world? Perhaps people like Martin Luther King Jr, Winston Churchill or Mother Theresa come to mind. But did you know that all of human history hinges on an Israeli shepherd boy by the name of David? Without David, there was no victory over Goliath, no nation of Israel and no temple in Jerusalem. And without David, there would be no Messianic line which would lead to Jesus Himself. David is one of the most important people in all of human history. But David isn’t even the main character in his story. His story is really the story of God working through an ordinary man to do extraordinary things. As we are introduced to David in this first message, we will be encouraged to let the extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit work through our ordinary lives.
Join us as we begin a new message series, "The Life of David," where we will explore how David's vertical relationship with God impacted his horizontal relationships with other people, and what we can learn from how David navigated those relationships. We will also see how the life of David helps us understand God’s great redemptive plan, and what that means for every single one of us here today.
