As we finish our series on Covenants, we look at the most innovative thing ever introduced to humanity—the New Covenant. When Jesus brought this new way of living to us, He gave us something that was impossible up until this point—to be able to change our hearts. To prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christmas, we will look at what the New Covenant is, how Jesus uses it to change us, and how that impacts our lives both now and forevermore!
From the dawn of creation to the coming of Christ, God’s story is marked by unbreakable promises – covenants – that reveal His love, faithfulness, and desire for a relationship with us. As we prepare our hearts for Christmas, we will journey through the Bible’s five major covenants, starting with Noah and ending with the New Covenant in Christ. Each week, we’ll uncover how God’s promises have shaped history and our own individual faith as well. Across centuries and with different people, each of these covenants points to Jesus and continues to give us hope today.
