As we move into a new year, many of us think of ways we want to change or improve. Maybe you’re burned out on resolutions, but most of us naturally think of ways we want life to be different in January. And no matter what goals you have, what changes you desire, there is one thing that will help you get there: wisdom. That’s why we want you to come join us for our new series Foolproof, where we want to study Proverbs to learn how we can foolproof our life by applying the wisdom of God’s word. In this first message, we will learn where wisdom begins and why it matters for every single one of us.
What goals or resolutions are on your mind for 2024? Many of us want to be thinner, richer, or more organized. But have you ever considered setting a goal to be wiser? The book of Proverbs says to get wisdom at any cost. Why? Because wisdom is the practical art of living skillfully, honorably and biblically in all aspects of life. We will explore why wisdom is so valuable and see how Proverbs compares the life of the wise person to the foolish person – and we will look to Jesus, the embodiment of wisdom, as our example.
