Busyness is the enemy of spiritual life. Most of us already feel weary from our busy lives. Christmas is a time to reflect on the miracle of Jesus, but the added pressure of the season often turns our busyness into a carnival ride spinning us out of control. Jesus invites us to rethink our priorities, slow down, and consider how we might make more room for him in our life. Jesus wants to be closer to you this Christmas. He wants to bring you healing and comfort to your soul. Will you make room for him?
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Or is it? Though we often enter the Christmas season with high hopes, we are quickly buried with things like busyness, stress, strife and loneliness. It can become a time of feeling the trouble in our hearts, and our hope for something better flickers out. But what if we invited God right into that place? And what if the Christmas season was actually about that exact struggle? What if Jesus came to meet us in the weariness of our soul, and bring us a new hope? In this series, that is exactly what we will explore together.
