In this week of our series—The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly—we are going to look at one of the more well-known stories of the book of Genesis, the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. It is a chapter of human history that is filled with darkness and pain, but it is also a story that will challenge our understanding of what it means to be people of God in a culture that is becoming increasingly hostile to the ways of God. How can we influence the world around us for Christ? How can we make sure we are not getting influenced by the world around us? Believe it or not, reading the story of Sodom and Gomorrah helps us answer these questions and more.
You might assume that God only works through cleaned-up people who have it all together. But God chose to work through the good, bad and ugly of this messy, broken family to bring forward His plan of delivering a Savior for His people and the entire world.
