Revival is breaking out in little pockets around the country. People are seeking the Lord and God is revealing himself in powerful ways. Part of what is fueling revival are people repenting of sin and turning to Jesus. We serve a God who forgives us of our sin. Confession and repentance lead to restoration. The passage we will study from 1 John teaches us about the nature of God, the power of confession, and the forgiveness found only in Christ.
From Series: "Life Everlasting: The Book of 1 John"
Forever. Eternity. Life everlasting. These are words that Christians often throw around, but how well do we understand what the Bible has to say about these ideas? Do we know what it truly means to obtain eternal life? How do we know if we have it? Who receives eternal life, and who doesn’t? The truth is, we all have to face a physical death. One of the unique claims of Christianity is that for those who trust Jesus, we have the hope of life in Heaven for eternity. In our series Life Everlasting: The Book of 1 John, we will study what eternal life is, how we enter into it, and what it means to live with the true hope of it. Join us for this series that will help walk us through the Lenten season and prepare our hearts for Easter, but more importantly, for the Age to Come.
