Do you live your life behind a mask because you fear nobody could ever love the “real” you? Have you ever felt like you’re too much for God? Deep down all of us long for relationships where we can be fully know and fully loved without a mask. Of all places, the church should be a place where we can be our authentic self, but what we often experience is a culture of performance and pretending. What if CTR could be different? In this message we will explore how a goodness culture nurtures authenticity and resists pretending.
Many people carry disappointment or wounds from experiences with church – including Christ The Rock. These wounds cause people to lose trust in the church and sometimes even in Jesus. In this series, we’re going to address church hurts, consider what healing looks like, and explore how to create a goodness culture at church and in our relationships.
