Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a member of the Sanhedrin. He knew the Scriptures well. He was a good and moral man…a man that people went to with their questions about God or the Bible. But we see him coming to Jesus and inquiring of Him. What Jesus said to him made it clear that what was needed was to get a new heart and not merely try your best to be a good or religious person. God provided a way for us to know Him and His Love personally in Jesus.
When Jesus called people, He never asked someone to become a "Christian". He never led someone in a sinner’s prayer. He never shared the 4 spiritual laws. He never told someone to invite Him into their heart. But He did say, “Follow Me”. We will take an in-depth look at what it means to be a follower of Jesus. The following 7 weeks we will look at 6 individuals who did follow Him and 1 who didn't.
