CloseThe book of Judges records some of the darkest days of the nation of Israel. God’s people involve themselves with idolatry, breaking Levitical law by inter-marriage with the native population, and often exhibit callous disregard for God and His direction in their life. There is a pattern of Israel sinning – God gets their attention by allowing the Israelites to be oppressed – repentance – deliverance – back to sin. This pattern repeats itself often in Judges.
