CloseDon’t you want your life to have a meaningful impact in the world? Yet at the same time, do you feel like you can’t because you’re lacking the right abilities or are disqualified because of your past? In the first two chapters of Acts, we see God unveil His plan to change the world with people just like us. Right after promising the disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit comes, Jesus ascends back into Heaven. Soon after at the Feast of Pentecost, God keeps His promise and the Holy Spirit is given to the 120 Christ-followers present. People who saw this miracle happen mocked it, but after Peter preaches a Spirit-filled message to the mockers, over 3,000 of them repent of their sins and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit too. It’s this same group of people that God discipled and then scattered all over the world to birth the church, and the world’s never been the same since. God still gives the Holy Spirit to empower us to be witnesses of Jesus in every place and in every circumstance of our lives. His gift is for you and He’s inviting you to be His world changer!
