As we continue to study the book of Ephesians, we arrive at a major turning point that will challenge every one of us. In the first half of Ephesians, the apostle Paul tells us who we are in Christ, explaining in great detail the amazing transformation that has redefined our identity as a result of Jesus’ love for us through His death and resurrection. Before making his high challenge, Paul first gets on his face before God and prays an impassioned prayer for God to gift believers strength in their inner being through the Holy Spirit, that we would be motivated by love and that we may experientially understand the fullness of God’s love. Paul then turns his focus to an enormous challenge – Paul tells us to link up and grow up so that the church can be all that Christ intended it to be – a living body, joined in unity, with each person using the gifts of God to build His church up in love so the world can see who Jesus is through us. Will you embrace the challenge?
